The 58th annual USITT Conference and Stage Expo brings companies from throughout the theater industry to the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Alcons Audio USA returns to the USITT, showing and demonstrating sound systems from across its ground-breaking pro-ribbon product lines; Be it point-source, point-source array, line-source and line-array system solutions.

All systems sharing excellent gain-before-feedback, true linear response at any SPL, with virtually unlimited dynamics and up to 90% less distortion.

LR18

The LR18 compact mid-size line-array system offers reference HiFi sound quality with very high output; Loaded with Alcons' purpose-built RBN702rs 7" pro-ribbon driver, the LR18 is above class-leading with an intuitive, predictable linear response to beyond 20kHz and unmatched clarity, imaging and throw.

LR7

The LR7 micro line-array measures only 7" tall by 14" wide, with the industry's best "size/weight-to-throw" ratio, suitable for A/V projects, where very compact form factor with perfect line-array projection, speech-intelligibility and imaging are required.

VR8

The VR8 compact versatile monitor offers a 1:1 natural crystal-clear response, with unprecedented low-distortion and very wide 1:17 dynamic range. Featuring the 800W RBN401 pro-ribbon, in combination with the 8" vented woofer, the VR8 is the ideal theater performance speaker.

Sentinel

The Sentinel amplified loudspeaker controllers are the drive engines behind the Alcons pro-ribbon sound systems. The proprietary amplified-processors offer 4-in/4-out, 192kHz AES3 digital inputs, full-color touch-screen and encoder control and true audiophile-grade amp.stages.

Alcons is rapidly making serious inroads into the worldwide theatrical market, with critically-acclaimed Broadway and touring productions: Hamilton: An American Musical, Bright Star and Dear Evan Hansen, and the newest West End production, Tina: A Tina Turner Story. All sound systems specified by award winning Sound Designer, Nevin Steinberg.

This year, USITT will feature the Alcons Audio LR18 - Compact mid-size line-array system on the Outdoor Stage, covering a listening area over 200 ft. deep. The main L-R system will be comprised of 12 per side of the Alcons LR18, with the subwoofer package a combination of the BF362 high output dual 18" woofer system, and the BQ211 single 21" carbon fiber cone. Out fill will be the compact LR7 arrays and front fills will be handled by the VR8 monitors. This system is being provided by our Pro-Ribbon Partner and 2016-2017 Alcons Audio Dealer of the Year, AVL Solutions from Greenville, South Carolina.
