Alcons in Russia! November 11, 2006The 2006 edition of the Russian pro audio and light tradeshow “Music Moscow” last October, marked the third year of Alcons presence in Russia. The cooperation between LTM Music and Alcons Audio was confirmed in 2004, in the form of Pro-Ribbon Partnership for the exclusive representation of the Alcons product-lines in the Russian territory. LTM Music was founded in 1993 as a sound & light wholesaler and has since then seen very significant year-on-year growth, becoming one of Russia’s larger pro audio & light distributors. Today, the company has offices in Novosibirsk – the head office in the geographical center of Russia and in Moscow, capital of Russia. Furthermore, LTM Music has several subsidiaries; LTM Installation company; LTM Acoustic speaker sales company; LTM Service repair centre; STRUNA.RU internet-shop, to name a few. Also, LTM Music has a forwarder and customs-broker company for maintaining an effective logistics from Europe into Russia. Besides the professional audio and lighting wholesale activities, a retail network of 14 music stores has been established throughout Russia, under the name of MUSIC ARSENAL, for the distribution of quality Musical Instruments products.
The company is led by three people: Victor Yakubovskiy co-founder and president of LTM, running the company’s head office in Novosibirsk; Andrey Krivenchenko, co-founder and in charge of the financial side of business; and Alexei Belakov, who’s head of the Moscow operations. Victor Yakubovskiy: “during 2004 we were looking for a high-end sound system brand, to expand our pro-audio product port-folio. Of all the options we had, one name stuck out above the rest, because of the recommendations of prominent Russian audio professionals, who had already worked with Alcons systems.”
This led to a trial order of Alcons systems that was effected right before the 2004 Music Moscow show, the biggest annual Russian music trade show. The show features a unique possibility for distributors to actually demonstrate sound systems in a separate “loud-hall”, with successive sessions of 5 minutes at high SPL. Andrey Krivenchenko: “At the first demonstration in October 2004, we received great response from our clients, so it was a big “thumbs-up“ for the Alcons products. At the 2004 show we demonstrated the VR8 system with BF181 subs; In 2005 we demo’d the LR14 line-array with great success and this year we brought in a complete LR16, LR16B and BF362 system. The system really stood-out among the almost 30 systems present, with its clarity, throw and full-range response. Looking at the demo system size through the years, we can’t wait for the 2007 demonstration!”
Under the supervision of brand manager Max Kolesnichenko, a significant number of projects throughout Russia in clubs, theaters and auditoriums have been realized, recently a.o. EGOIST GOLD Club in Moscow and BOARD 07 in Toliatti (home town of the famous LADA cars!), with two high-profile reference projects in the pipeline. To put things in perspective; The Moscow population is almost as big as the total population of the Netherlands… So, having a company like LTM represent our products with their progressive marketing strategy, support and logistics, offers a great position for Alcons systems to penetrate the market. We’re really proud that LTM took us on board in a very early stage to represent our products in Russia!” For more info on LTM, visit http://www.ltm.com.ru/
