										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The proprietary developed Director amplified loudspeaker controller is designed as multi-channel drive-engine, enabling Alcons pro-ribbon systems to deliver maximum performance in (semi)permanent installations.</p>
<p>The ALC Director features a powerful 8-channel DSP-based controller with 8 bridgeable, new generation ClassD amplifier stages. With the 8 individually addressable inputs, a free-configurable input / output matrix is formed. Each channel accepts analogue or up to 192kHz.digital AES3 signals, that are up/down-sampled to 96kHz native processing.</p>
<p><em> </em>The future-upgradable powerful DSP engine enables minimal latency during processing of even the most complex (IIR, FIR) algorithms. Features include 8-band (shelf/pass/parametric) equalising per channel, delay, phase, factory presets for all systems and system configurations, user-presets, event-logging and system feedback.</p>
<p>For fully-intuitive control and feedback, the Director features on-unit control over the complete amplifier and processor sections through a 3.12” (256 x 64 pixels) monochrome OLED display, a multi-colour LED-illuminated rotary encoder and eight multi-colour LED-illuminated channel buttons.</p>
<p>The Class-D amplifier control loop delivers exceptionally low intermodulation figures and significant improvement over cone excursion and transient response. This unique technology is the perfect drive-engine for the high-resolution Alcons pro-ribbon systems.</p>
<p>The four digitally controlled, highly efficient main power supplies with active Power Factor Correction, enable maximum output while allowing worldwide input voltage ranges.</p>
<p>The modular design of the complete ALC, caters for “in-the-field” servicing and upgrading; The 2 power/amplifier packs can be exchanged in case of emergency, significantly reducing down-time. The DSP is mounted on a separate PCB, thus can be easily “future-proof” upgraded when required.</p>
<p><em> </em>The Director is integrated in ALControl&#x2122;, Alcons Audio’s proprietary, Ethernet-based network for controlling individual or clusters of amplified loudspeaker controllers.</p>
<p>Through two additional RJ45 connectors (redundant) and optional network modules, the Director is prepared for different audio-over-network standards.</p>

<p>The future-upgradable powerful DSP engine enables minimal latency during processing of even the most complex (IIR, FIR) algorithms. Features include 6-band (shelf/pass/parametric) equalising per channel, delay, factory presets for all systems and system configurations, user-presets, event-logging and system feedback.</p>
<p>A Linux-based micro-computer &#8220;oversees&#8221; and controls all processes. The full-colour TFT touch screen and the multi-colour LED illuminated encoder in combination with tab-based menu structure offers intuitive control over the amplifier and processor sections, while reducing the number of &#8220;wearable&#8221; components.</p>
<p>The Signal Integrity Sensing&#x2122; circuit dynamically compensates the effects of long speaker cables; This results in a tight sub and bass response regardless of cable length or impedance (system damping factor of 10.000) and without the need for manually entering cable parameters. SIS&#x2122; also caters for futher reduced distortion (optimized cross-over drive).</p>
<p>The 4 patent-pending ClassD amplifier stages are 93% efficient and offer one of the lowest THD in the industry. Together with the 2 (redundant) switch-mode power supplies, the Sentinel3 delivers a total of 3.000 W. The modular design makes for easy &#8220;in-the-field&#8221; servicing and future upgrades.</p>
<p>The Power Detection Circuit automatically select the correct operating AC current 115 V / 230 V and protects against overload above 400 V.</p>
<p>Individual Sentinels can be simply controlled through a VNC app. on any mobile device; More complex Sentinel clusters can be controlled via the ALControl&#x2122; Ethernet-based remote-control connection. Internal slots are available for optional Audio-over-network plug-in modules.</p>
