Pro Ribbon Immersive Experience returns to CEDIA 2019

One of the best showcases for the US home technology industry, the CEDIA Expo brings together home technology specialists and enthusiasts from throughout North America.

Regularly described as one of the highlights of the Expo, the multi-award winning Alcons Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience returns to CEDIA to showcase her proprietary, patented Pro-Ribbon technology and high-end, HiFi sound systems.

This year, Alcons is demonstrating her exceptional pro-ribbon solutions in a collaboration with Sony, Dreamscreen and StormAudio in bespoke sound room (SR-13) on the trade show floor.

CRMS mkII

The CRMS mkII (Cinema Reference Monitor System) offers the most natural 1:1 Digital Cinema and HD audio sound reproduction possible in critical listening environments such as post-production studios, screening-rooms, high-end residential home-cinemas.

CRMS-LFE18

The CRMS-LFE18 reference subwoofer system delivers a tight and accurate 1:1 sub response, down to the lowest octaves. The system features a custom 4-ohms extreme-excursion 18" and SIS™ pre-wiring for dynamic cable compensation.

CRMSC-SRHV

The CRMSC-SRHV reference pro-ribbon surround features Alcons’ patent-pending vertical waveguide technology; mounted on the RBN202 pro-ribbon driver, this caters for an undistorted and crystal-clear, extra-wide imaging surround experience.

SENTINEL

The Sentinel amplified loudspeaker controllers are the drive engines behind the Alcons pro-ribbon sound systems. The proprietary amplified-processors offer 4-in/4-out, 192kHz AES3 digital inputs, full-color touch-screen and encoder control and true audiophile-grade amp.stages.

Alcons is hosting 30-minute demonstrations throughout the September 12 - 14 show days. The audio system will be a hybrid 9.X.6 immersive surround configuration, comprising 20+ Alcons pro-ribbon loudspeakers, driven by 22 channels of Sentinel amplified loudspeaker controllers with “lossless” AES3 digital signal distribution.

The system features three CRMS mkII screen channels with twelve CRMSC SRHV surrounds. Four CRMS LFE18s will provide the low frequency extension for the system.

Alcons pro-ribbon sound systems are in use at Hamilton the Musical, Walt Disney, NBC Universal, Lucasfilm, Google/YouTube, Levels Audio Hollywood, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg a.o. and a fast-growing number of reference home theatres around the world including; Brad Scott, FL.
