Alcons Audio Returns To PLASA

September, 2021

Laurence Claydon, Millroad Technology

After an eleven year absence, Dutch sound system manufacturer Alcons Audio returned to the PLASA show in London. Long time Pro-Ribbon Partner MillRoad Technology exhibited a selection of pro-ribbon based sound systems at the show floor. As the profile of Alcons Audio’s pro-ribbon sound system solutions continues to grow, the awareness and level of respect within the industry is being highlighted by both business levels and interest at major trade shows. PLASA was a great example of our industry meeting up again as it saw a great deal of interest lavished on Alcons Audio.

“We were so delighted to see so many folks at PLASA, and so many positive responses from people who came up to have a listen and learn about what makes Alcons Audio solutions such a very special and unique experience” Laurence Claydon, director Millroad Technology

Particular interest was shown for the all-new QRP20 full range point source column which premiered at PLASA. The QRP20/90 is a 2-way column loudspeaker to be used as vertical sound system, for both permanent and portable applications. Its slim design packs a perfectly natural, dynamic sound reproduction with superb intelligibility, coverage and throw. More on that very soon!

A special thanks goes out to Millroad Technology for doing an excellent job representing Alcons Audio for the past week.

Laurence Claydon, founder and director of MillRoad Technology says: “We were so delighted to see so many folks at PLASA, and so much interest on our stand for Alcons Audio. It was an exhausting four days from set up to the end, but we had so many positive responses from people who came up to have a listen and learn about what makes Alcons Audio solutions such a very special and unique experience”

Alcons Audio’s managing director Tom Back adds: “We’re very happy to get Laurence’s positive feedback from the show; Not only for the Alcons presence in the UK market, but also internationally. We’re seeing so many trade shows cancelled, postponed or “limping” in a smaller form, which not only is concerning for these show’s continuation, but moreover as an indication of where the pro-audio industry stands at the moment. As such, it’s great to have been part of the PLASA show and celebrate the re-entrance of Alcons in the UK pro-audio scene. Great job by Laurence and the Millroad team!”
