The CRMSQB is a modular column bass array system to be used as the low-frequency extension system to the CRMSQ line-source column array systems; However, it can also be used as arrayable LF system with any Alcons system.
The CRMSQB can be stacked in multiples, making it an ideal building block to form bass arrays, for obtaining low frequency projection and throw control, drastically reducing the influence of the room acoustics. The controlled (cylindrical) projection of the CRMSQ can thus be extended down to the lower frequencies by enlarging the LF array length through adding extra CRMSQB modules.
The 8 ohms system impedance, makes for a very efficient amplifier channel loading, when assembling arrays of multiple units; I.e. a stack of three units, means an array of six 12” woofers driven by one amplifier channel.
The system delivers high output under lowest distortion possible. The new-generation 12” transducers feature a large, dual-3.5” voice-coil Neodymium motor, enabling a significantly-extended excursion, while maintaining a high sensitivity.
The 12” drivers are mounted in a direct-radiating, sealed chamber configuration; This caters for a super accurate performance with very smooth roll-off and is a perfect match with the sealed-configured CRMSQ system.
The integrated mounting hardware facilitates easy coupling with other CRMSQB. The shallow form-factor (either in width or depth) and Architect Color Option™ enables a stealth, unobtrusive integration In any application.
The CRMSQB is powered and controlled by the ALC amplified loudspeaker controller; Through the integrated processing and feedback, the ALC offers CRMSQB-specific drive processing with optimal response and long-term reliability. The integrated factory presets in the ALC drive processor offer gain, phase, array-length and filtering matching with all Alcons systems.
Through the Signal Integrity Sensing (SIS™) pre-wiring, the cable-length and connector resistance between the CRMSQB and SIS-featured ALC is dynamically compensated (system damping factor 10.000), further reducing distortion, while increasing response accuracy.
The CRMSQB is available as CRMSQB, with CRMSQ width-matching and as CRMSQBsl, with CRMSQ depth-matching, with a 25,4cm / 210-in. system depth
