Next-Level Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experiences @ CEDIA 2025

Alcons Audio will present its award-winning Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience at the CEDIA Expo, with the 2025 edition promising the company’s most advanced showcase to date. Visitors to the Colorado Convention Center from September 4 – 6, can experience the unrivalled clarity and power of Alcons’ pro-ribbon technology in a dedicated, purpose-built demo room on the show floor.

Located in Sound Room SR-10, Alcons will demonstrate a full 11.1.6 channel immersive system highlight Alcons’ ability to deliver reference-grade, lossless immersive sound reproduction for private cinema environments.

At the heart of the system are three CRMSQ line-source arrays for the LCR screen channels, bringing Alcons’ renowned dynamic pro-ribbon line-source technology into the residential market. Each channel comprises two (2) CRMSQ modules and one (1) CRMSQB low-frequency module.

The main system is complemented by fourteen (14) CRMSC-SRHV compact pro-ribbon reference surrounds for base- and height layer surround. The surrounds utilize the same core MHF transducer technology for seamless blending with the screen system.

For LFE reproduction, eight (8) Alcons CRMS LFE18 large-format 18” reference subwoofers, combined with advanced Double Bass Array processing, deliver low-frequency performance down to below 10Hz with perfect uniformity across all seating positions.

The complete system is controlled and driven by the Alcons 4-channel Sentinel10 and the new 8-channel Director6 audiophile amplified loudspeaker controllers.

As with every Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience, Alcons teams up with industry-leading partners to bring the most realistic performance of speech, music and effects, as it was intended.

For immersive system processing, Trinnov brings its Altitude 32/16 processor, featuring the latest Double Bass Array processing for optimal LFE coverage; The signal transport is completely lossless, with an all-digital AES3 chain from source to speaker-drive, ensuring the lowest distortion performance.

For the visual part of the Experience, Christie is bringing, nothing less, a world premiere in home entertainment/cinema; The Christie Digital CP4425-RGB Laser projector provides DCI-compliant cinema projection with integrated VDR (Variable Dynamic Range); This spectacular image is further enhanced by the MadVR Envy Extreme Mk2 for precision tone mapping.

A long-time partner in the Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experiences is DreamScreen, presenting its X1 projection screen, that’s in full support of the exceptional performance of the projector, while minimizing the acoustical effects on the audio performance.

The complete system is designed and optimized by Poes Acoustics and built / installed by Atlanta Home Theater.

Special invite-only demos of production-ready versions of the upcoming M-series of pro-ribbon studio monitors will take place end-of-day.
