The Best Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience @ CEDIA 2018

For the past three years, the award-winning Alcons Audio Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience has been a highlight of the annual US CEDIA Expo. Every year the company improves its presentation and 2018 visitors are guaranteed to enjoy the best Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience yet.

Taking place at the San Diego Convention Center from September 4-8, CEDIA Expo is one of the premier showcases for the North American home technology industry. This year Alcons is demonstrating its exceptional pro-ribbon solutions for home cinema in a bespoke sound room (SR-12) on the trade show floor, with a 9.x.6 pro-ribbon sound system.

Alcons CRMS-LFE18

30 minute demonstrations will take place throughout the September 6-8 show days, the system comprising three CRMS mkII cinema reference monitor system, eight CRMSC SRHV compact horizontal/ vertical reference surrounds, two front width channels of CRS8 medium format reference surrounds and four of the company’s brand new CRMS LFE18 subwoofers.

CEDIA Expo will be the public debut of the CRMS LFE18, which is designed for the post-production and high end home theatre market. Featuring a custom 18” woofer with dual-coil motor and extra-long, 30mm excursion capability, it is mounted in a sealed cabinet and SIS pre-wired for super tight reproduction of even the lowest octaves.

Storm Audio ISP 3D.32

The Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience audio system will be completed by six Sentinel10 amplified loudspeaker controllers, with audio processing provided by Storm Audio’s ISP 3D.32 Elite Reference Édition immersive sound processor. The system will feature all-digital, lossless signal distribution from source to amplification.

Sony VPL-VW5000ES

For the visual element Alcons is partnering with Sony, which is providing the 5000 lumens VPL-VW5000ES 4K home theater projector with laser light source. The screen will be a ScreenAcoustics UltraWeave V6, fitted with the company’s MotoMask PRO masking system. Together they will ensure visual excellence which matches the exceptional quality of the Alcons pro-ribbon audio system.
