Alcons Audio Partners With SCAD Savannah Film Festival

Alcons Audio is Production Partner for the SCAD Savannah Film Festival 2025 — the largest university-run film festival in the United States, presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

Now in its 28th year, the SCAD Savannah Film Festival has evolved into one of the most prestigious events on the international film calendar. Each autumn, the festival transforms the historic city of Savannah, Georgia, into a hub of cinematic creativity and collaboration. Over eight days, it welcomes more than 60,000 attendees, including award-winning filmmakers, emerging artists, students, and audiences from around the world. The program features red-carpet premieres, student showcases, industry panels, workshops, and masterclasses, as well as tributes to leading voices in contemporary cinema.

The SCAD Museum of Art Cinema features an advanced Alcons LCR system built around the CR3 three-way pro-ribbon cinema screen speakers and CB211sl 21” ultra-shallow subwoofers, powered and processed by Sentinel amplified loudspeaker controllers.

The historic Lucas Theatre for the Arts — a longtime showcase of Alcons technology — is equipped with a full Alcons configuration, including LR7 micro pro-ribbon line-arrays for Left and Right channels, CRA24 Cinemarray for Center, and BQ211 and BF181 subwoofers for deep, controlled bass reproduction. Surround channels are handled by LR15 and CRS8 pro-ribbon modules, all driven by Sentinel amplified loudspeaker controllers.

Together, these systems deliver studio-reference audio quality, translating every nuance of dialogue, score, and effect with absolute fidelity.
