Alcons Presents Two New Product Series @ NAMM 2024
Dutch audio innovator brings monitoring solutions for stage and studio
Alcons Audio is returning to the NAMM Show to launch two brand new pro-ribbon loudspeaker ranges, bringing high-definition monitoring both to the live and studio markets and, uniquely, offering an identical audio reference for both. For the first time, the company will also be showcasing its evolutionary audio systems in its own demo room.
NAMM has become an increasingly important show for Alcons, with the event covering all the markets that the company’s problem-solving portfolio of pro-ribbon systems addresses, from the largest live music events through to high end studio production.
Demonstrating in demo room 18812, Alcons is giving a global launch to its W series stage monitors and the M series reference monitors for immersive studios.
“From recording through to playback – regardless of content or size of application – Alcons now offers one single, scalable audio reference for the complete sound engineering workflow.”, Tom Back, Alcons Audio co-founder
Developed in response to customer demand, the W series sees Alcons add a dedicated stage monitor to its product portfolio for the first time in its 20 year history.
Setting a new benchmark for very high dynamic output monitoring, with ultra-low distortion and next level gain-before-feedback, the W series can also be used for a number of other applications, including as a stand-mounted PA.
Offering similar benchmark-setting performance for audio production, the three-model M series is specifically designed for near- and midfield applications in the immersive studio environment. It raises the benchmark for reference monitoring in terms of dynamic capabilities, depth-of-field, imaging and audio resolution.
Fulfilling Alcons’ ambition of delivering ‘one-reference: one experience’, this new product group completes the company’s evolutionary audio solutions portfolio.
“From recording through to playback – regardless of content or size of application – Alcons now offers one single, scalable audio reference for the complete sound engineering workflow,” says Alcons Audio co-founder Tom Back.
“We now uniquely connect the live entertainment, studio production and high-end home theatre markets with our pro-ribbon system solutions. These were never covered by the exact same technologies until now. Importantly, we are setting new benchmarks in these markets, which both of the new systems we are launching at NAMM highlight.”
As well as being viewed at the Alcons booth, both of the new ranges can be heard at hourly demonstrations throughout NAMM 2024 in the booth’s demo room, along with the latest pro-ribbon sound reinforcement systems. These include the LR15 ultra-compact line array with LR15B bass module and the QRP40 point source column with the QB363 arrayable bass unit.
NAMM 2024 takes place from January 25 – 28 at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA.
