NAMM 2025: solutions from studio to live sound
In January and February, Alcons Audio will be demonstrating significant new pro-ribbon products in the US and Europe, as the company heads for the NAMM and ISE trade shows.
The NAMM Show 2025 takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA from January 23-25, where Alcons is exhibiting in demo room 18717.
NAMM has become an increasingly important show for Alcons, with the event covering all the markets that the company’s problem-solving portfolio of pro-ribbon systems addresses – from the largest live music events through to high end studio production.
This year’s NAMM will include demonstrations of the LR24 mid-size line array system for medium to larger applications, which delivers hi-fi sound quality at concert sound pressure levels. With maximum dynamic headroom reserve and the lowest possible distortion, its fully symmetrical, coherent pattern control in the horizontal and vertical planes means it can be precisely aligned for audiences, without any unnecessary spill. More system info here.
Alcons will also be showing the production version of the WR20, a 2×10”, two-way high performance stage monitor system with unsurpassed dynamics and ultra-low distortion in a compact and unobtrusive package, delivering perfect intelligibility in even the most acoustically challenging applications. More system info here.
Special guest Michael Larcey, FOH engineer and Production manager for the band O.A.R., will be on hand to answer questions and share his experiences touring with and mixing on the Alcons LR24 system. Hitting such venues as Red Rocks and Merriweather Pavillion the Alcons system exceeded expectations at every stop, with Michael at the helm.
Meanwhile, updated preview versions of the forthcoming M-series reference monitors will also be on display. These have been developed for critical sound reproduction in any application where ultimate analytical sound reproduction is required, combined with an exceptionally wide dynamic range. Designed with focus on the lowest distortion and highest imaging possible in every detail, the M-series will deliver a new benchmark in reference monitoring.
A special M-series preview on Friday 1pm will include legendary and award winning studio designer Sam Berkow. Sam was one of the first to specify an Alcons system in the US at eTown music hall in Boulder Colorado. Sam will share some of his thoughts on the benefits of Pro-Ribbon technology and will play some of his favourite test tracks on the upcoming M series.
Presentations take place every day at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm (no 5pm on Saturday) in demo room 18812 (North Level 2).
