Theatre Pro-Ribbon Solutions Showcase At USITT 2026
Alcons Audio will demonstrate its latest Pro-Ribbon sound reinforcement technologies for the performing arts and live entertainment markets at the upcoming USITT Conference & Stage Expo 2026, taking place March 19–21 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California. Visitors can experience the company’s latest systems at Booth 373, where Alcons will highlight its expanding portfolio of high-performance loudspeaker solutions designed for theatre, stage and live production environments.
Renowned for its patented Pro-Ribbon driver technology, Alcons systems deliver exceptional clarity, dynamic headroom and ultra-low distortion, providing an accurate and highly intelligible sound experience that meets the demanding requirements of modern performing arts venues.
“Our continued presence at USITT and focus on the theatre market underscores our commitment to providing the performing arts and live entertainment category with cutting-edge audio solutions,” says David Rahn, North American Sales Manager at Alcons Audio. “USITT provides an ideal platform to connect with sound designers, consultants and production professionals looking for the highest level of sonic performance.”
A major highlight at this year’s show is the first USITT presentation of the Alcons M-series and G-series systems, bringing the company’s latest developments in compact reference monitoring and scalable live sound reinforcement to the theatre community.
The M-series reference monitors, including the new MR5 and MR10, are designed for the most demanding monitoring and immersive audio applications. Combining compact form factors with Alcons’ signature Pro-Ribbon technology, these systems deliver exceptional resolution, fast transient response and highly accurate spatial imaging, making them ideal for critical listening environments and stage monitoring.
Also featured is the G-series, represented by the GR20 compact point-source system and the GB181 subwoofer. The GR20 offers high-output, wide-bandwidth performance in a compact enclosure suitable for a wide range of theatre and live applications, while the GB181 provides powerful and highly controlled low-frequency reproduction through its advanced long-excursion 18-inch transducer.
Beyond the booth demonstrations, Alcons technology will also be deployed at the show’s Education Stage, where a professional sound system has been installed to support presentations and live demonstrations throughout the event. The system features QRP40 main arrays complemented by QRP20 wide-dispersion delay systems, with VR5 compact loudspeakers providing front-fill coverage. Low-frequency reinforcement is delivered by QB363 triple-12” subwoofers, ensuring powerful and precise bass performance for the stage environment.
Together, these systems demonstrate the versatility of Alcons’ Pro-Ribbon platform across a wide range of performance spaces, from intimate theatre stages to larger live production environments.
Visitors to USITT Conference & Stage Expo 2026 are invited to experience the Alcons difference firsthand at Booth 373, where the company’s team will be available to discuss system design, theatre integration and the benefits of Pro-Ribbon technology for performing arts venues worldwide.
